Larissa is excited to have returned to her hometown of Sault Ste. Marie to join the team. She completed her Bachelor of Arts with an Honors Specialization in Kinesiology at Western University and went on to continue her education at Queen’s University, graduating with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy. Larissa’s goal is to bring knowledge and encouragement to her community and help her patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and optimal quality of life.
Larissa has experience working in a variety of settings including orthopedic private practice, inpatient/outpatient hospital care, and long-term care. She also worked as an athletic therapist providing pre-and post-game coverage and treating sport injuries. Her belief in individualized treatment plans allows her to utilize a variety of tools including education, functional exercises, and manual therapy to help you get back to your everyday function. She is also certified in Soft Tissue Release and Myofascial Release Techniques. Larissa is looking forward to growing in the profession by engaging in continuing education courses and learning from her patients.
Outside of the clinic, Larissa enjoys staying active by exercising, playing sports, and hiking the many trails in the Soo. During her free time, you can find her spending time with friends and large Italian family or indulging in chocolate and her Nona’s cooking. She is always open to hearing about unique outdoor adventures and restaurant food/drink recommendations.
